New Talent Announcement: Welcome back to the office!

Lovers recently reunited in person with their old teammates, as well as with several newbies who had only been known in a virtual context. In unchartered territory, they were interviewed, hired, and onboarded via Zoom.

Who are these newbies? And what can they offer our Love clients? They offer expertise in data analytics, content creation, copywriting, search engine optimization, media buying, account management, business development, production management, and public relations.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Jeremy Chase, VP Business Development

Jeremy leads Love’s business development efforts, seeking opportunities to raise Love’s profile and tell our story to potential clients. He’s a 25-year veteran of the advertising industry, having spent his career in both account management and business development roles. His professional experience with clients spans several industries: CPG, Higher Education, Technology, and state/federal government. He also has focused experience working with travel and tourism brands and has been a featured speaker at local, regional, and national industry conferences.

Born and raised in The Gem State, Jeremy’s an honors graduate of the University of Idaho. When not living his last name in the spirit of new business, he’s a proud parent of two boys, National Park passport traveler, rock ‘n roll historian, and occasional theatre artist.

 

Sydnie Furton, Account Manager

Sydnie recently joined Love Communications as the newest account manager. With her expertise in travel and tourism, Sydnie will be managing the planning, production, creative and media for a number of Love’s tourism clients, among others.

Coming from a background where she has served as director of marketing and communications, Sydnie has honed her skills in creating and implementing innovative marketing strategies and plans to better improve companies’ positions, particularly for those in the travel and tourism industry. She is passionate about using analytics and research to drive informed decisions and brings nearly a decade of experience in experiential, digital, and traditional marketing to the table.

Sydnie graduated from Weber State University where she received her Master of Professional Communication and Bachelor of Arts in public relations and advertising. In her spare time, Sydnie can be found hiking with her husband and two dogs, savoring craft cocktails, playing board games, and playing in the Wasatch Mountains during all seasons.

 

Hailey Zundel, Account Manager

Hailey Zundel rejoined Love Communications as an account manager in April of 2021, after a brief hiatus where she worked as a customer experience and communications coordinator for Traeger Grills. During her first stint at Love, she coordinated the trafficking of creative assets and was the go-to between Love’s clients and advertising vendors, all while managing the reception desk.

Hailey’s skills in copywriting, e-commerce, and social media management have been an asset to every company she has been a part of. Her knowledge in optimizing search results led to a 50 percent increase in searchable keywords during her time at Signature Products Group. She has also created and managed copy for products at Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, in addition to developing site content for Shopify.

Hailey graduated from the University of Utah. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors as an avid skier, fly fisher, and hiker.

SEO & COPYWRITING

Rebecca Renner, Senior Copywriter

Rebecca has been a Copywriter and Creative Director for over 20 years in some of the nation’s top advertising agencies and media organizations across the country, winning multiple Addy’s including two Best in Show, AdAge and AdWeek Best of Boards, and a Pulitzer as part of the USA TODAY Network’s team for The Wall. She was also a regular columnist for humor e-zine ‘Cup-O-Joe’, wrote stand-up for several NYC comedians, and currently is dabbling in penning young adult fiction.

She hears ‘witch mystery’ is all the rage. Her creative expertise ranges across all traditional and digital media, augmented and virtual reality, and she hosted a weekly national extreme couponing show called Recoup and the Summer Reading podcast for USA TODAY. Fortune cookies are the only thing left to tackle. Lucky numbers 11, 20, 35, 47, 72.

 

Natasha Fisher, SEO & Content Manager

Natasha joins Love Communications as the Digital Department’s SEO & Content Manager. Her passion for SEO allows her to assist Love’s clients in establishing a strong digital presence and boosting visibility across the web.

With a strong background serving as an SEO expert for multiple boutique agencies in Salt Lake City, Natasha has proven her ability to combine strategy and creativity in order to achieve significant results. She is dedicated to identifying client needs and delivering them in a clear and concise way through analysis, reporting, auditing, and proactive communication. Her skills in Google and Adobe Creative Suite, along with content creation and research, make her an ideal digital marketer.

Natasha graduated from the University of Utah where she received a Bachelor of Science in marketing with a minor in strategic communications. When she’s not working on tourism accounts, she’s enjoying the skiing, climbing, and trails they promote.

 

Val Rasmussen, Content Writer & Producer

Word nerd. Grammar geek. Idiom aficionado. Pun promoter. Val Rasmussen is Love Communication’s content writer and producer. If content is king, she’s the queen.

Val spent a decade writing editorial content for Salt Lake Magazine, Utah Style & Design, and Utah Bride & Groom. Before arriving at Love, she toured the freelance marketing world where she reported on local trailblazers in design, fashion, construction, technology, and healthcare. She types to the beat of an SEO-friendly, social-media-savvy, and analytics-driven drum.

Val graduated from the University of Utah and lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, two boys, and one Goldendoodle.

DATA ANALYTICS

Daniel Barrack, Junior Data Engineer

Daniel is responsible for maintaining Love Communications’ data engineering needs, including managing database operations, data acquisition, and the construction and maintenance of data architectures aligned with business requirements. Daniel recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Weber State University with a degree in Management Information Systems and a minor in Finance, which has aided in his ability to enhance data efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Using programming languages and tools, Daniel analyzes large data sets to produce actionable insights for a broad range of Love clientele, including Discover Moab, Magnolia Medical Technologies, and BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. In his spare time, Daniel likes to stay active by working as a part-time fitness coach, playing pickleball, hitting the slopes in winter, and surfing when he can in the summer.

 

Scott McKennon, Data Analyst

A 2020 graduate of the University of Utah, Scott received both a BS and MS in Business Information Systems. His passion for technology has brought new vision to the Data Team – specifically, working on dashboarding and analytics for client and internal business processes.

Aside from diving deep into data lakes, you’ll find him close to anything related to sports. He is the resident sports analyst (self-proclaimed) for events like March Madness and serves as the Love’s Fantasy Football commissioner. Cryptocurrencies are another passion of his, as you’ll likely hear Scott discussing new token developments with his co-workers.

In his spare time, he likes to practice Karate in the garage & play challenging video games to sharpen problem-solving skills – all while escalating his already developed arthritis.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Tiff Smith, Public Relations & Content Supervisor

Tiff is a University of Utah graduate with a bachelor’s degree in both strategic communications and international relations. She demonstrates knowledge in public relations and content marketing. These skills paired with her expertise in community/media relations and communication come together to foster progressive and creative client strategies.

Prior to joining Love Communications, Tiff worked as a PR & Content Manager at The Summit Group, a full-service marketing firm, where she strategized with content, website development, and paid media teams to lead campaigns that increased earned media placements and brand awareness. She loves to conquer challenges and use her PR and marketing skills to work side-by-side with clients to find solutions to their largest issues and bring them to the forefront of their industries.

MEDIA

Rachel Thomson, Junior Media Buyer

Rachel is a new addition to the media buying team at Love Communications and lends her skills in planning, budgeting, optimizing and reaching goals in media plans for a variety of Love’s clients.

With a diverse background in numerous communications roles, Rachel has acquired a notable skill set in media buying, marketing strategy, digital marketing and social media. Over her career, she has served in various account managing, media buying and social media coordinating positions that have shown her passion and drive to be a strong contributor in compelling communications plans.

Rachel is currently studying at Utah Valley University where she will receive her bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in public relations in 2021. While not working, Rachel can be found spinning pottery, camping, or riding her motorcycle.

 

Trevin Roberts, Digital Media Coordinator

Trevin began his career with Arena Mail + Digital gaining experience in the digital marketing space, while also establishing himself as a driven go-getter. Currently working as a digital media coordinator for Love Communications Trevin is known for helping and supporting Love’s digital marketing and media team, and together they find the right digital marketing strategies to help clients achieve their business and marketing goals.

Trevin is a results-driven leader who uses his advertising and brand development skills to work side-by-side with clients to help them create a solid footprint within their industry and spread brand awareness. His curiosity, passion and thirst for knowledge allow him to approach each client with innovative and unique angles for surefire success.

Trevin loves a challenge and is driven by results and client satisfaction. The inquisitive nature of his personality and his thirst for knowledge make him an invaluable part of Love. Outside the office, Trevin enjoys all things outdoors. From camping and hiking to rock climbing, you can find him enjoying all the beauty that Utah has to offer. When you do catch him inside, you can bet he’s watching sports!

 

Rachel Petersen, Media Buyer

Rachel is another new addition to the media buying team at Love Communications. With a strong background in traditional media and digital media, she has spent time at multiple agencies in Salt Lake City. She has a passion for all things media (buying, strategy, reporting, etc.) and analytics to drive informed decisions to help companies achieve their goals.

Rachel is a Utah local and graduated from the University of Utah where she received a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications and a minor in Business. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, playing guitar and ukulele, reading, playing bocce ball, and swimming.
