Love Communications Contracted To Oversee Advertising, Marketing And Creative Efforts For Hawaii-Based Foodland

Foodland, the Hawaii-based supermarket chain, has hired Salt Lake City full-service advertising agency Love Communications to handle its marketing, advertising and creative needs throughout Hawaii.

Owned by The Sullivan Family of Companies, Foodland counts some 30 stores, primarily located in Oahu and the Big Island, with several locations in Kauai and Maui. Many locations feature special deli, meat and seafood service departments, as well as full-service banking and other conveniences. Founded in 1948 ­ making 2008 its 60th anniversary Foodland is Hawaii’s only locally owned supermarket chain. Jenai Sullivan Wall, daughter of founder Maurice J. Sullivan, is the company’s president and CEO. Love Communications has also been handling advertising and marketing for the Hawaii-based chain of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf locations, also owned by the Sullivan family.

Love’s efforts on behalf of Foodland will include in-store signage, TV and radio production, graphics and logo development and weekly promotional marketing development and production.
