Love Honored As Community Champion By Molina Healthcare Of Utah

SALT LAKE CITY – August, 2009 – Tom Love and Love Communications were honored as a 2009 Community Champion for Healthcare Media by Molina Healthcare of Utah.

The award was presented during the second annual Molina Healthcare of Utah Community Champions Awards Dinner at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this summer, Love Communications was one of nine total recipients this year.

As agency president, Tom was on hand to accept the award and recognition from Paul Muench, president of Molina Healthcare of Utah and Steve O’Dell, regional vice president of Molina Healthcare, Inc. As part of the recognition, Love was presented a $1,000 check, which was donated in the agency’s name to United Way of Salt Lake.

“It was a great honor and a great recognition for our whole team,” Tom Love said. “We’re very appreciative to our friends from Molina.”

As an agency, Love Communications was honored for the many hours and resources it annually donates to United Way of Salt Lake, as well as pro bono work on an ongoing basis for a number of other Utah non-profits, including Voices for Utah Children and The Children’s Center at present and many more during the firm’s history.

“We’re committed to giving back to the community in every way we can,” Tom said.

Among others honored by Molina: Kayleen Simmons of People Helping People (Advocacy and Civic Leader Award)/ Bruce H. Jackson, director at The Center for the Advancement of Leadership at Utah Valley University (Education Award); Eric and Jodi Van Rhee of The Adventure Church (Faith-Based Organization Award); Dr. Mansoor Emam of the Maliheh Free Clinic (Healthcare Professional Award); the anti-tobacco youth group OUTRAGE (Student and Youth Award); C.R. and Amy Oldham of HopeKids of Utah (Support and Service Club Award); leadership volunteer Matthew Meese (Volunteer Award) and community volunteer Rogelio Franco (Volunteer Award).
